INFORMATION ON APPLYING FOR A VISA TO VISIT THE PHILIPPINES

 

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES IN APPLYING FOR A PHILIPPINE VISA

 

Processing period for visa is Eight (08) Philippine Working days not counting Saturday and Sunday and a Fee of 260.00 Dirhams for Single Entry.  Filing of visa application will be received daily between 9:00 am to 12 noon only.  Application filed beyond said prescribed time will not be accepted.

 

Requirements

1.      Personal appearance of the applicant, for first-time applicant;

2.      Accomplished Visa Application Form – TO BE DOWNLOADED FROM The Embassy’s website: www.philembassy.ae; entries must be TYPEWRITTEN in capital letters.  All fields must be completely and clearly filled out.  Application forms with illegible entries will NOT be accepted.

3.      Present original passport and submit photocopies of passport data page(s).   Passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines.

4.      Submit photocopy of UAE residence visa with English translation done by a legal translator if visa is printed in Arabic. UAE visa must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines.

5.      One (1) recent passport size photo (not more than six months old) signed by the applicant on the left portion;

6.      Letter of Guarantee from employer/company sponsor stating and/or certifying the following:

·         Position and/or designation of the applicant

·         Inclusive period of applicant’s employment with the sponsor

·         Monthly salary and

·         No objection to the applicant’s travel to the Philippines

 

Note: If applicant is a business proprietor or partner, present original and submit copy, with English translation of the Trade License with the name of the applicant as proprietor, partner or investor.

7.      Invitation/Reference letter from Philippine sponsor/contact person or company together with the inviting person’s passport or any valid ID and indicating the complete address and telephone number(s) in the Philippines;

8.      Bank statement of personal accounts as proof of applicant’s financial capacity to travel

 

 

 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

·         If applicant has previous visit visa to the Philippines, submit photocopy of the latest Philippine visa issued.

·         If applicant is travelling for recruitment purposes, present original and submit photocopy of the Job Order or Demand Letter and SPA verified/attested by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in the UAE and the Philippine Embassy;

·         If applicant is travelling for medical treatment, submit medical certificate attested by the UAE Ministry of Health and letter of acceptance from a Physician or Medical Institution in the Philippines;

·         If applicant is married to a Filipino citizen, submit photocopy of the attested marriage contract in English together with a copy of spouse’s passport or ID;

·         If applicant is a minor, not employed:

 

a)      Notarized affidavit/Letter from parents or legal guardian guaranteeing that the applicant will have the parents/guardian’s full financial support for international travel. This guarantee must be supported by documents certifying the sponsor’s/guardian’s financial capacity such as an employment/salary certificate, bank statement and trade license.

b)     Copy of the birth certificate in English and passport copies or ID’s of parents or guardian.

NO-VISA ENTRY FOR TEMPORARY VISITORS TO THE PHILIPPINES

Nationals from countries listed below who are traveling to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for stays not exceeding twenty-one (21) days, provided that they hold valid tickets for their return journey to port of origin or next port of destination and that their passports are valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay. However, Immigration Officers at ports of entry may exercise their discretion to admit holders of passports valid for at least sixty (60) days beyond the intended period of stay.

Nationals from the following countries are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of twenty-one (21) days or less:

*The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for the following number of days:

1. Holders of Brazil passports – for a stay not exceeding fifty-nine (59) days;

2. Holders of Israel passports – for a stay not exceeding fifty-nine (59) days;

3. Holders of Lao PDR passports – for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days;

4. Holders of Mongolia passports – for a stay note exceeding 21 days.

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven (7) days:

1. Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports;

2. Holders of British National Overseas (BNO) passports;

3. Holders of Portuguese Passports issued in Macau;

4. Holders of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports;

5. Chinese nationals from the mainland coming for tourism purposes and with either a valid Australian, Canadian, Japanese, Schengen or US Visa.

 

The following citizens of ASEAN Member Countries DO NOT NEED A VISA for short or temporary visits:

 

        1. Brunei – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        2. Cambodia – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        3. Indonesia – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        4. Lao PDR – for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days;

        5. Malaysia – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

6. Myanmar – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        7. Singapore – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        8. Thailand – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days;

        9. Viet Nam – for a stay not exceeding twenty-one (21) days.
