Advisory for Filipino nationals regarding travel to Iraq

Filipino nationals are strongly advised against travel to Iraq due to prevailing conditions in that country which poses serious risks to their safety and well-being.  Under these conditions, the capability of the Philippine government to extend assistance to Filipino nationals in distress in Iraq is severely restricted by lack of security and stability in many areas, including the capital city of Baghdad.

Advisory for Filipino nationals seeking employment in Iran

Filipino nationals seeking employment or who are otherwise offered employment in Iran should ensure that they have appropriate EMPLOYMENT VISA stamped on their passport BEFORE they travel to Iran.  Foreign nationals found by Iranian authorities to be working without the appropriate visa face imprisonment and a heavy fine.

Advisory on text and email scams

It is noted that there is a proliferation of text and email scams.  It is advised that text or email offers of money, prizes, gain, or profit received from persons who are not personally known to you should be carefully considered before you respond.

Do not provide your bank account  and credit card information, PINs, and passwords, including important personal information, by text or email to persons or entities who are not personally known to you.
